Who can do this course?

Anyone who holds an Open Water diver certification (from any diver training organisation) can participate in the Adventures in Diving programme.
(There are programme restrictions for Junior Open Water divers up to the age of 15 - Please ask a member of staff or send us an e-mail for further details.).

What will I do?

You will have read the appropriate chapter in the Adventures in Diving manual and completed the relevant knowledge review prior to your open water training session. Your instructor will review this with you to ensure full understanding, before completing the open water dives.

What is covered in the cost?

Depending on which course package you have selected all equipment and any specialist equipment needed are covered in the cost, the only additional charge will be site entrance fees or boat charges if on a coastal weekend trip or as part of a diving holiday.

How long will it take?

The course is usually run over a two day weekend* but it can be taken over a longer period dependent on your availability (three dives one day and two the next, weather and circumstances permitting); but we can take it slower if you prefer.
*(Ask for further details about mid week sessions)

What will I need?

When you register for the course you will be provided with a PADI Adventure Diver Crew-Pak, which contains all the material you need for the course. In addition to this you will possibly also need the following: a small back-up torch, reel, Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB), and a small slate.

How much does it cost? (click here)

£60 per Adventure dive
£250 for the Advanced Open Water Diver package (£225 if you have your own equipment).

Where can I go from here?

From here you can progress further with your diver education by registering for the PADI Rescue Diver Course and/or any one of the PADI Speciality Diver programmes.

The PADI Adventures in Diving programme offers two certification options. A diver who completes any three adventure dives earns the PADI Adventure Diver rating. A diver who completes the Deep Dive, the Underwater Navigation Dive and three additional adventure dives (five in total) earns the Advanced Open Water Diver Certification.
